Importance of IAS Personality Test
Personality test is important in civil services because our personality is tested in it. If we compare the personality test marks relative to the total marks (275 out of 2025), at first glance it seems that it does not have much importance. But, friends, this argument is wrong and hollow because in reality, personality test, apart from being important, also determines two important things, first, whether you will be selected or not, and second, if you are selected, will you get the service of your choice. Will I get appointment or not?
The second aspect of this becomes important because it is often seen that even after getting a place in the closing priority list, the candidate remains unhappy due to not getting appointment in the service of his choice. As a result, he then has to sit for this long race-like year-long examination and as opposed to becoming an officer, he still remains an aspiring officer.
Based on the results of previous examinations, it has been concluded that a difference of just 1 mark can impact 5 or 6 places in the closing list. Therefore, this shows the importance of personality test.
