Initial moments at the time of IAS interview exam
What should be the initial moment during IAS interview exam? There is an important saying that first impression is also very important in terms of first impression. Generally speaking, the last impression is seen in your personality test that the impression you make during the first few minutes on the board is very decisive and how much marks the candidate ultimately scores depends a lot on these initial minutes.
So from the very beginning, make sure that your every move and word is absolutely correct. Knock softly on the door and obtain permission before entering. After getting permission, enter the interview room with a smile on your face and a positive posture.
The speed should be normal and go straight to the chair kept for you. Your facial expressions and body language should appear completely calm. Greet all the board members politely and if there is a female member in the board, then greet her first, otherwise the first greeting should be given to the Chairman and after that, greet all the members.
Take your seat only when asked by the board members, thanking them. When thanking them, remember to look at them and keep a smile on your face. If you need to move your chair while taking your place, do so very slowly so as not to create too much noise.
Maintain proper distance between your chair and the table in front. After sitting on the chair, arrange yourself and make sure that your posture is polite, positive and exudes confidence.
Here I want to highlight some important points about your body language language. Your hands should rest on your knees. Do not keep your ankles (Dasam) on top of each other and never put one foot on top of the other. Do not keep the arms on top of each other and do not keep moving the legs. Do not put your hands in your pockets and also never put your hands on the table.
Thank you for your sharing. I am worried that I lack creative ideas. It is your article that makes me full of hope. Thank you. But, I have a question, can you help me?
