Is life possible on Venus?
Venus is the sixth largest planet in our solar system and is the second planet from the Sun after Mercury. this planet is very close to the Sun. Along with the Sun, Venus is also the closest planet to Earth. Venus is also called the morning star, the evening star and the twin sister of Earth.
Why is Venus called the evening star and the morning star?
Venus is the only planet in the solar system that we can see naked, i.e. without any instrument, some time after sunset and some time before sunrise. It is called the evening star because it is seen some time after sunset and the morning star because it is seen before sunrise.
This phenomenon occurs due to the special shape of Venus because the shape of Earth and Venus is the same, i.e. when the sun sets, the light from Venus reflects and comes towards the Earth and even before sunrise, the light from Venus reflects and comes. Venus is called the twin sister of Earth because the shape of Earth and Venus is almost the same, so it is called the twin sister of Earth.
There is a great difference in the climate of Earth and Venus. The temperature of Venus is very high, which is more than 400 degrees Celsius. The high temperature of Venus is due to the amount of CO2 present on Venus. 96% CO2 is found on Venus. We all know that CO2 has the highest greenhouse effect.
Possibility of life on Venus
Recently, the possibility of life on Venus has been seen. According to a report, phosphine and ammonia gas have been found on Venus. This gas is the biggest proof of life, because both these gases are also found in the atmosphere of Earth. The atmospheric pressure of Venus is 90 times more than that of Earth and there are also clouds of sulfuric acid, but up to 50 kilometers of height of Venus, the atmosphere is similar to that of Earth.
How is phosphine gas formed?
Phosphine gas is a special kind of gas. When a chemical acid called phosphorus reacts with water, a special kind of gas is formed which is called phosphine gas. This gas can also be made by heating phosphorus acid. It is a colorless gas. It smells like garlic or rotten fish. This gas is quite poisonous.
Formation of ammonia gas
Ammonia gas is formed by industrial processing and nitrogen converting.
Scientists believe that despite the discovery of these two gases, it is very difficult to say whether life is completely possible on Earth.
Interesting facts about Venus.
- It is the hottest planet.
- Venus rotates from east to west while other planets rotate from west to east.
- A day on Earth is of 24 hours, whereas a day on Venus is equal to 243 days of Earth.
- 4. Earth rotates on its axis from west to east while Venus rotates from east to west i.e. the sun rises in the west on Venus.
- The amount of CO2 on Venus is 96% and 3.5% is nitrogen.
- Scientists believe that Venus must have had large oceans at one time. Due to climate change, the oceans turned into gas. 7. Oceans are found on 71% of the Earth.
