Lingayat Mega Convention
The Lingayat Mega Convention is a religious event that takes place among the people of the Lingayat community. The main purpose of this ceremony is to communicate among the people of the Lingayat community. In this ceremony people of Lingayat community gather and discuss their issues.

The Lingayat community follows Shaivism. Their customs and traditions are very different from those of the Hindus. These people do not worship idols. There are more than 99 sub-sects in the Lingayat community.
Mainly, the Lingayat Mega Convention takes place under the inspiration of Mahatma Basaveshwara.
The Lingayat community is settled in the Indian state of Karnataka. This community is considered separate from the Veerashaiva community. People of the Lingayat community do not follow Hinduism. He established the Lingayat community to remove the evils of Hinduism.
The Lingayat community has more than 900 monasteries in 30 districts, most of which belong to the Lingayat community.

Mahatma Basaveshwara is the founder of the Lingayat community. He was the founder of Lingayat religion.
