Muslim League was a political party established in 1906 in British period . It was created with the aim of representing the interests of Indian Muslims The party led the movement calling for a separate Muslim nation to be created at the time of the partition of British India in 1947.

The founders of the Muslim League were Khwaja Salimullah, Vikar-ul-Mulk, Syed Amir Ali, Syed Nabiullah  . The first  President of the League was Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah . The two factions were led by Abdul Aziz and Hafiz Hidayat. The two factions merged again when Jinnah returned to India in 1934 Mohammed Ali Jinnah was one of the leaders of the Muslim League.

Mohammed Ali Jinnah, earlier a prominent Muslim member of the Congress, assumed leadership of the league following his break with Congress leader Mahatma  Gandhi  ji  In these early years of his political career, Jinnah advocated Hindu–Muslim unity and helping to shape the 1916 Lucknow Pact between the Congress and the All-India Muslim League, in which Jinnah had also become prominent.

He is considered one of the most important figures in Urdu literature, with literary work in both the Urdu and Persian . He was also a member of the All India Muslim League.
