Nana Patekar Was the part of the Kargil war
Nana Patekar is a well-known personality of India, he is associated with the film industry, Nana Patekar’s full name is Vishwanath Patekar. He was born in Maharashtra.
Nana Patekar told in an interview to a TV channel that he has taken part in the Kargil war. Nana Patekar said that I was not a part of the Indian Army. I was a common citizen. First I talked to the army officials, they said that a civilian cannot be sent like this. Nana Patekar said that I asked them who can do this, then they told me only the Defense Minister.
Nana further told that I knew the Defence Minister George Fernandes at that time. I told him that I have to go. He said that they cannot send me like this. I told him that I have taken 6 months army training and I have been an India level shooter champion. After knowing all this, he said yes and asked me when I have to go. I said today and I went and I served in the Kargil War.
Nana refused to tell what work he did there. Nana Patekar was awarded the Padma Shri award in 2013. He has been awarded three National Film Awards, 4 Filmfare Awards and 2 Marathi Filmfare Awards. Nana Patekar works in both Hindi and Marathi films.

Nana Patekar married a woman named Neelkanthi at the age of 27. At the age of 28, Nana Patekar’s father died of cardiac arrest.
