The Mediterranean countries

The Mediterranean Sea, as the name suggests, is located almost in the center of the earth. It is north of the equator and east of the prime meridian, that is, the Mediterranean Sea is located in the north-eastern hemisphere. The Strait of Gibraltar separates the Mediterranean Ocean from the Atlantic Ocean, and also separates Spain from the African country Morocco. The borders of the Mediterranean Sea touch three continents: the European continent in the north, the Asian continent in the east and the African continent in the south.

The Mediterranean Sea borders 21 countries. These countries are Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Slovenia, Spain, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey. The Suez Canal connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Red Sea.

The Mediterranean climate is the most famous climate in the world. Juicy citrus fruits are produced the most here. The Mediterranean climate is also called the fruit basket. It is neither too cold nor too hot here.
