The Olive Ridley turtle

Hello friends we are going to discuss The Olive Ridley turtle is  the smallest of the sea turtles and is found primarily in the tropical regions of the Pacific and  Indian, and Atlantic oceans region .The Olive Ridley gets its name from olive green color of its heart-shaped shell. The species is known for their arribadas or synchronized mass nesting during which time tens of thousands of female ridleys come ashore to nest in the span of a few days.

Convention on Migratory Species of Wild Animals  has listed Olive Ridley turtles in Appendix I. so that the species is threatened with extinction and CMS member countries are obliged to protect them, conserve their habitats, and monitor their populations.
