what is solar system ?
The solar system is a group of the Sun and other celestial bodies. These celestial bodies include planets, satellites, comets and other celestial bodies. The Sun is at the center of the solar system. Sun is the head of the solar system. The planets in the solar system are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. The Sun holds about 99% of the mass of the solar system, hence its gravity is the highest, due to which all the celestial bodies of the solar system revolve around the Sun. The Sun is the biggest and eight planets and other celestial bodies revolve around the Sun. Apart from these planets, there are many dwarf planets too whose gravity is very low.
Gaseous and solid celestial bodies are found in our solar system, that is, all the celestial bodies are either in gaseous state or in solid state. Mercury, Venus and Earth are in solid state while Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are in gaseous state. The Sun is made of gas. The main gases in the Sun are hydrogen and helium. Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system because it has the highest amount of carbon dioxide, and we all know that carbon dioxide is a green planet gas.
Earth is the only planet in our solar system on which there is life. Apart from Earth, Mars has been the most interesting planet in our solar system for scientists. Mars is also called the Red Planet because the highest amount of iron oxide is found in the rocks of Mars.
Venus is called the twin sister of Earth because the shapes of Earth and Venus are similar. Venus and Uranus are the only planets in the solar system that rotate from east to west, while the other planets rotate from west to east.
