What is The Red data List

The Red List of Threatened Species, often referred to as the Red Data List, is a comprehensive inventory of the conservation status of various species of plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms. It is maintained by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). 4.Endangered (EN): Facing a very high risk of extinction in the wild.

5.Vulnerable (VU): Facing a high risk of extinction in the wild.

6.Near Threatened (NT): Close to meeting the criteria for VU or higher risk categories.

7.Least Concern (LC): Lowest risk category, not currently facing a significant risk of extinction.

8.Data Deficient (DD): Insufficient data to make a direct assessment of conservation status.

9.Not Evaluated (NE): Has not yet been evaluated against the criteria.
