Chandrababu Naidu

Chandrababu Naidu is an Indian politician who has served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh four times. He is the current leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Naidu was born in Naravaripalli, Andhra Pradesh, in 1950.

He studied at the Sri Venkateswara University and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Naidu entered politics in 1978 and was elected to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1983. He served as the Minister for Finance in the cabinet of N. T. Rama Rao from 1983 to 1984.

In 1985, Naidu founded the TDP and became its leader. He was elected Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 1995 and served until 2004. Naidu was re-elected Chief Minister in 2014 and served until 2019. He was again elected Chief Minister in 2024. Naidu is a controversial figure.
