Geography is an important subject for Civil Services Examination. Geography is included in the main subjects of General Studies. As we all know the main subjects include History Geography Political Science Economics. If we talk about the contribution of Geography in the Civil Services Examination, then it has also taken Environmental Science along with it and also has subjects like Disaster Management. We all know that map is an important part of geography. Many questions come in the preliminary from the map. There are 10 to 12 questions in the preliminary exam.

Geography also helps in other subjects like if we study agriculture then we get information about soil climate fertilizer from Bhogal.
Even if we study international relations, we have to take the help of maps to
know about the boundaries of countries. Even if we study the environment, we
get information about climate and condition from geography only.

Preliminary examination

If we talk about the preliminary examination of Geography, then every year 12 to 18 questions are asked from Geography, similarly 10 to 12 questions come from Environment. Let me tell you one thing, whose geography is good, his science subject is also good, that is, all the subjects of geography, environmental science and science are interrelated. If we talk about marks then around 40 questions come from these three. Here let us tell you that out of 100 questions, 40 questions are a big deal.The student who scores 50 or 48 in 100 questions, then he

passes the preliminary examination. Out of 100 questions, 40 questions come
from Geography and related subjects. You can understand yourself what is the

Main

If we talk about the main examination, then geography
comes in the form of disaster management in the first question paper of general
studies of the main examination and in the third question paper, that is, geography
has an important contribution in the question papers of general studies,

see that Geography helps in General Studies and in Essay.

Interview

If we talk about the interview, then let me tell you that
most of the questions in the interview are based on current events and
political topics and geographical topics, then geography plays an important
role in current topics as well as in political topics, geography plays a role
because political topics In this, the study of the country’s condition and
boundaries is done under geography.

It would not be wrong to say that 40% of the interview is
based on geography and related subjects.

What are the consequences of not studying
Geography in the Civil Services Examination?

Geography is an important subject of civil service exam, if we ignore geography then we may have to suffer a great loss because geography is not a subject that stands alone in itself, it is science along with environment, disaster management and current events. They have also given support to others.

If we do not study geography then we will not understand the study of map also and from map you and we all know 10 to 12 questions come every year.

 If we do not understand the map properly, then we will not be able to understand the political boundaries which is a major subject of international relations.

If we do not study geography, we will not be able tounderstand Javanese diversity and ecology because climate is the main component of ecology. 

 If we do not study geography, then we will not be able to understand the climate of India and the
world, and we will not be able to understand the rainfall occurring in India
and the world. If we do not understand the rainfall, then how will we
understand Indian agriculture and Indian economy
