1. Association of World Election Bodies

The Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) is a global organization of election management bodies (EMBs). It was established in 2013 in Song-do, South Korea, and currently has 118 EMBs as members and 20 Regional associations as associate members.

The main objectives of A-WEB are to:

1.Promote cooperation and understanding among EMBs;

2.Facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices;

3.Strengthen the capacity of EMBs to manage elections effectively and professionally;

4.Promote the principles of democracy and good governance.

A-WEB its objectives

  • Capacity building programs: A-WEB organizes training programs for election officials from member nations. These programs cover a wide range of topics, such as election administration, voter education, and the use of technology in elections.
  • Country programs: A-WEB provides support to member nations during election cycles. This support can include providing technical assistance, training, and financial resources.
  • Conferences and workshops: A-WEB organizes conferences and workshops on a variety of election-related topics. These events provide a forum for EMBs to share experiences, learn from each other, and discuss best practices.
  • Publications: A-WEB publishes a variety of materials, including reports, manuals, and training modules. These materials are designed to help EMBs improve their election management practices.

2.Chandrayaan-3

The countdown for India’s third moon mission is progressing smoothly in the Sathish Dhawan Space Centre Sriharikota. LVM -3 is all kept ready to carry on with the Chandrayaan-3 Mission .

Chandrayaan-3 is the proposed third lunar exploration mission by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), following the successful Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2 missions. The goal of Chandrayaan-3 is to continue India’s exploration of the Moon and build upon the achievements of its predecessors.

Chandrayaan-3 was originally planned to be a lander-rover mission, similar to Chandrayaan-2, which carried the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover. However, due to the challenges faced during the landing of Chandrayaan-2, ISRO decided to revise the mission objectives and design of Chandrayaan-3.

The lander will be named Vikram, after the lander that was part of Chandrayaan-2. The rover will be named Pragyan, which means “wisdom” in Sanskrit.

The main objectives of Chandrayaan-3

1.Soft land the lander and rover on the lunar surface

2.Deploy the rover and carry out in-situ chemical analysis of the lunar surface

3.Study the lunar surface and its composition

4.Search for water ice on the Moon

Chandrayaan-3 is a significant mission for ISRO, as it will be the first time that India will attempt to soft land a lander and rover on the Moon. The mission is also important for the international scientific community, as it will help to further our understanding of the Moon.

3.The Tungabhadra River

5.Rafale Marine aircraft
