1. India Rankings 2023 released, IIT Madras retains its top
position in engineering.
2. India Rankings help universities in identifying areas for
improvement in teaching, research, resources and infrastructure. There has been
an increase in the number of institutions who have applied for ranking in
different categories and subject domains.
3. A strategy has been framed to introduce ‘Didi Cafe’ in 17
municipal corporation cities in Uttar Pradesh, including Mathura, Firozabad,
and Vrindavan in the Agra division. This Didi Cafe will only be maintained by
women’s self-help groups, which will provide access to low-cost meals, snacks,
and other facilities in areas where women are employed through these canteens.
4. The BIMSTEC Energy Centre which will act as the
Secretariat for BIMSTEC energy cooperation will be formally inaugurated in
India later this year.

1. मध्य प्रदेश के कुनो राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में पांच और चीतों को अनुकूलन शिविरों से निकाल कर खुले में छोड़ दिया जाएगा। नामीबिया से लाये गये आठ में से चार चीतों को अब तक अनुकूलन शिविरों से बाहर लाकर उद्यान के खुले माहौल में छोड़ दिया गया है ।
2. साल 7 मई को विश्व एथलेटिक्स दिवस मनाया जाता है। खेल विशेषज्ञ जी. राजारमन ने बताया कि 100 साल पहले आज के ही दिन विश्व एथलेटिक्स सॉन्ग बना था। जबकि विश्व एथलेटिक्स दिवस की शुरुआत अंतरराष्ट्रीय एमेच्योर एथलेटिक महासंघ (IAAF) ने 1996 में की थी।
